woah, I'm going to Ibiza... and Mallorca

Friday October 27

Now that I'm thinking of it, it is gonna be my first holiday I'm going on all by myself. I did many thinks alone, but not a holiday.
Tomorrow I'm flying to Mallorca for a week. I had to take my holiday hours at work before the end of the year, so I choose a random period, which is this week, starting now, and a week starting at the end of November.
Of course everybody is working in this time, so I thought it was a good initiative to do something alone.
I don't have a clue yet about what I'll do there (and I love that part.)
Didn't book any hotel or car or whatever yet.
The only thing I have is some tips from colleagues.
One of my colleagues, a very nice guy called Oscar, lived in the neighbouring island Ibiza for a long time, and he gave me the phone number of one of his friends there in case I'll visit Ibiza as well. (Which I think I will)
So, it's a big surprise.... whatever is waiting for me.
"See" you all next week!

this message contains a warning:
The Spanish girls may look very beautifull, but be aware!
This picture could have been taken in the gym I go to....

Please girls, buy a recent Playboy and adapt to the shaving style of this decade .....

Back to school

Tuesday October 3

I'm so glad I pick up things pretty easy lately, because there were no more excuses, I have to go 'back to school'. After almost two months in Madrid it's very clear to me: people in Spain speak Spanish.... only Spanish!
I found a school in the center, just a few metro stops from my appartment and so I started yesterday with the first lesson.
My classmates are from Russia, Austria, Turkey and China so no common language here. But that was no problem, because the Spanish classes are all in Spanish. Even the first day! I have to admit it was not very easy for me. It can be very funny though. Ever seen a Spanish teacher trying to explain to a Chinese student what a 'Zoo' is when they have no reference what so ever?? Imagine!!
One thing is very clear to me: I have to put some effort in this, because it's not easy, so I bought pens and paper and even an agenda like real 'school-people' do. I even know the Spanish word for homework (deberes)! As you can see, I take this really serious.....

deberes! HELP!
